Mangal II, Dalston, London: Not so much a flagbearer for the new wave of London kebab concepts, but rather the best of the old guard. Mangal II is quite simply an East London institution. Look out for Brit Art icons Gilbert & George who are regular diners – as are many of London’s most famous chefs when off-duty.
