Can it be? One of the fashion world’s top trends right now is not only versatile, comfortable and foolproof to wear, it’s also a look you can put together with items you likely already have in your closet: denim, denim and more denim.
After running into Ratajkowski while she was rocking the trend, street style photographer Rei Shito shows us how it’s done.
Rei says: “I snapped this photo of supermodel and actress Emily Ratajkowski at Paris Fashion Week in September, outside of Loewe’s spring 2023 show.
“Decked out in top-to-toe denim, she’s tapping into one of the major trends of the season – I’ve seen a lot of people donning full denim looks (case in point: the woman in the right hand side of the photo!).
“You may hear ‘denim-on-denim’ and start having flashbacks to the early 2000s. However, the key to avoid looking dated is to take cues from Emily and size up your silhouette for a somewhat slouchy, ultra-cool and casual look. If you’re purchasing denim pieces this year, I recommend buying a size or two above what you would normally wear.
“Go ahead, try denim-on-denim – it’s a simple, easy and comfy way to achieve an of-the-moment look.”
